Amber Anderson

Office Manager

Education

I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies with a minor in Human Development from California State University Channel Islands. As part of my undergraduate studies, I completed a capstone project focused on Servant Leadership, exploring leadership principles centered on service, collaboration, and organizational effectiveness.

I also earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Accounting from Western Governors University. During this program, I was awarded several micro-credentials recognizing proficiency in Business Essentials, Applied Business Skills, Management, and Human Resources.
Building on this foundation, I completed a Master of Science in Human Resource Management at Western Governors University, further strengthening my expertise in organizational leadership, strategic human resources, talent management, and business operations.

Experience

My career has been driven by a passion for helping others succeed. I was a math and science teacher at Fusion Academy, where I discovered the impact that individualized education and meaningful relationships can have on students' confidence and growth. I transitioned into the Office Manager role, where I realized that supporting students, families, and staff behind the scenes was just as rewarding as teaching. I found that my greatest fulfillment comes from creating systems, solving problems, and ensuring that others have the resources they need to thrive.

I have been fortunate to serve in several roles at Fusion Academy Upper West Side. I worked as the Director of School Support (DSS) and also spent time as a teacher in the Homework Café, giving me a well-rounded understanding of Fusion from many different perspectives.

Before joining Fusion, I worked as a one-to-one interventionist supporting autistic children and their families. In that role, I partnered with parents to improve communication, develop individualized strategies, and create practical plans that helped children build skills and gain greater independence. Those experiences taught me the importance of patience, empathy, collaboration, and meeting each individual where they are.

I feel incredibly fortunate to have built a career that combines education, leadership, operations, and student support. Whether I'm working directly with students, partnering with families, supporting educators, or improving organizational processes, my goal is always the same: to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others and help create environments where people can be successful.
