Social Life on Fusion Campuses

In the Social Homework Café, they can work on assignments next to their friends, eat lunch, or join student clubs — like the cooking club or the debate club at Fusion Pembroke Pines.

We also organize regular field trips that align with student interests. For example, the Pembroke Pines campus recently visited the Frost Museum in Miami, and other campuses have arranged trips to local animal shelters or hiking expeditions.

The Florida ESA (Education Savings Account) program is open to every family living in Florida with a student eligible to attend K–12 public schools in the state. The program gives families access to an average of $8,000 per school year to put toward the cost of their child’s education, including tuition and fees for private schools, private tutoring costs, and textbooks and instructional materials.

Palmer Trinity is an Episcopal school for grades 6-12 located in Palmetto Bay, just south of Miami. The school aims to develop the whole person, an approach reflected in its motto of “Virtus, Humanitas, et Spiritus.”

Palmer Trinity is a good school to choose if your family’s main focus is academic excellence. Most departments at this school offer honors courses and AP classes. With a student-teacher ratio of 15:1, there’s also plenty of support available for each student. Palmer Trinity has a particularly strong academic focus on computer science, and students are required to take at least one semester of this class to graduate.

This school also offers a very international education experience. 53 countries are represented in the student body, and the school offers the internationally recognized IB (International Baccalaureate) program, which is well-known and well-regarded around the world. Many of the prestigious colleges and universities that students attend after Palmer are out of state, including Harvard, Stanford, and King’s College, London.

The Bolles School is a college preparatory school for grades preK–12, based in Jacksonville. This is a larger school, with 1,756 students across 4 campuses. Most of these students attend the day school, although the school does have a small number of boarders as well.

The Bolles School encourages a well-rounded education, with students required to take a mix of English, math, and science classes to graduate, as well as world history, US history, fine arts, and physical education. The school also offers AP courses both on campus and online.

When discussions around opening the school began in 1993, it was to be the first Yeshiva High School between North Miami Beach and Atlanta.
