Title: From Surviving to Thriving: Healing Trauma in Adolescents
Substance use, self-harm, avoidance, anger and aggression, technology, and unhealthy sexual behaviors, among other symptoms, are maladaptive coping skills adolescents use to seek comfort from an underlying or primary issue, most often unaddressed childhood trauma and family systems issues. Through an intentional process of cleansing, equipping, empowering and renewing, adolescents can transform their bio-psycho-social and spiritual beings from a place of barely surviving to thriving with hope for a healthy future and a sense that they are more than enough.
