Education

Russell began his educational journey studying music education at what is now the University of North Georgia. He holds an A.B. in religious studies from Georgia State University; an M.A. in religious studies from the University of California, Santa Barbara; an M.A. in clinical psychology from Antioch University, Santa Barbara; and M.F.A. degrees in photography and writing from the Savannah College of Art and Design in Atlanta.

Experience

Russell started his career in education by working as a substitute teacher in grades K-12 in the Georgia Public School System. He has since served as a teaching assistant in humanities and photography at the University of California, Santa Barbara, and the Savannah College of Art and Design in Atlanta. Most recently, he held the title of Part-time Professor of Interdisciplinary Studies at Kennesaw State University.
