The final installment of Fusion Academy Princeton’s Spring Speaker Series “Why Is My Child Struggling in School? Strategies to Improve Social, Emotional, and Educational Oucomes” will explore the various emotional and behavior struggles students with learning differences may face.
There are many emotional and behavioral challenges that students experience associated with learning difficulties and disabilities. These may include low self-esteem, social skills deficits, peer rejection, comorbid diagnoses (e.g., ADHD, depression, anxiety), increased school failure and drop-out rates, acting out behavior and juvenile delinquency, substance abuse, and health complaints. This workshop will discuss key symptoms, resiliency factors, positive coping strategies for the student and family, and interventions and supports to consider. Time will be provided for questions and answers.
Interested in learning more about Fusion Academy Princeton? The evening will begin with an Open House at 6pm. Dr. Selbst’s workshop will begin at 6:45. Light refreshments will be served.
