As the Assistant Director, Jessica’s provides training and supervision to all Fusion teachers, ensuring academic integrity, rigor, and quality. She assists the Head of School with administrative tasks and helps uphold Fusion Culture.
Jessica attended Penn State University where she received a B.A. in Psychology and Minor in Health and Human Development. Follow graduation, she moved to the D.C. Metro area where she began working at a private behavioral-health facility, as a Special Education Teacher/Counselor in the Education Services department. Realizing very quickly that she had found her niche in bridging the gap between education and mental health, she pursued a Master’s degree in Educational Psychology from George Mason University and graduated magna cum laude. Her skills and expertise won her an Innovators Award and landed her the role of President for the Employee Advisory Group at her previous workplace. Jessica is thrilled to extend her experience in education and mental health care to the Fusion team.
Besides her passion for finding the best educational practices for exceptional students, Jessica also enjoys exploring New York City, skiing, traveling to exotic places and baking. She is a die-hard Penn State fan and enjoys taking on new challenges– she once completed a 10-mile, 25-obstacle extreme physical challenge, the Tough Mudder, to benefit the Wounded Warrior Project.
