- Ruth's goal is to win the blue ribbon for her hand knitted socks at the CA state fair before she dies!
- A mathematician by trade and a fiber artist by passion, Ruth sells her fiber arts at a local art gallery in Placerville, CA.
- Sewing her own juggling balls filled with lavender grown from her ow n garden, Ruth uses juggling to demonstrate graphs. All of her students know how to juggle and knit. She likes to combine her fiber arts to her role as a math instructor. Knitting helps students understand proportions.
