Post-Secondary Counselor

I’m so excited to be your Post-Secondary Counselor (PSC). I’m serving all four Chicago Fusion campuses, as well as Fusion Denver. I can support you and your child with all things post-secondary: choosing a school, college essays, preparing for interviews, scholarship essays, personal statements, and more.

I’ve always had a passion for helping students. After majoring in Social Work at Illinois State University, I went on to earn my Master’s Degree in School Social Work at University of Illinois at Chicago. From working for a university to being a high school counselor, I found my passion for post-secondary counseling. I found that I loved working with students in helping them find the right fit. I think post-secondary counseling is so much more than just searching for the right path after high school; it’s about getting to know the student, their support system, what drives them, what their goals are.

Something I love about the PSC role is that no matter how long you’ve been doing the job, the post-secondary search process is ever-evolving. With new programs popping up all the time, the options for students are constantly changing, and getting to research what’s new and learn alongside the student in the process is a really rewarding experience. That challenge of getting to know the student and what they’re looking for, and then working to find the right path for them after they graduate high school, is such a unique opportunity- and I’m excited to take on that opportunity at Fusion!
