Monica Armengol graduated with her bachelors in Psychology from Florida International University and went on to earn her masters in Guidance Counseling with a minor it Mental Health Counseling. As an admissions advisor for Miami Dade College she helped students plan their college track and helped them find helpful resources when necessary. She was the College Advisor and Counselor for all magnet programs at Killian High School where she coordinated college events, financial aid tutorials, hosted Gap Year presentations, technical school open houses, in addition to other informative events for students. Monica comes to Fusion as a Post Secondary Counselor with a desire to take this knowledge and tailor pathways to the future for each student and family she works with. She values the journey through high school as much as graduation and beyond.
Monica enjoys researching and keeping up to date with her current trends in education, college and career advising. She also likes to crossfit with her husband on her time off, play outside with her two young daughters, time spent with family, to read books, and long solo runs (usually where she brainstorms events for students). She believes if you love what you do you do not work a day in your life.
