Lorenna Garcia-Bochas graduated in Fall of 2018 with her Bachelors in Biology and minor in Music from Fayetteville State University in Fayetteville, NC. She graduated in Fall 2021 with a Master of Science in Integrative Biology from Kennesaw State University in Kennesaw, GA. She is a 2nd year Master in Global Health Student at Duke University in Durham, NC.


Lorenna García-Bochas enjoys tutoring Middle School and High School Biology, Math, and Chemistry. Her teaching philosophy is to see growth in students and a deeper understanding of the subject to where she is no longer needed!

  • In highschool, I preformed with Grammy Award-winning Latin jazz flutist, Dave Valentin
  • I love writing poetry and painting
  • I traveled to Galle, Sri Lanka to do my summer fieldwork at the Duke-Ruhana Center
