Tricia Rios

Director of Homework Cafe

Tricia has over 17 years of experience in education working with students. She began her career in education as a high school teacher.   She has taught at both the high school and middle school levels.  She then became the Campus Improvement Specialist at a middle school in FBISD.  After serving in that position for 9 years she then became a middle school guidance counselor in FBISD.  Tricia has a passion for working with students and is very excited to join Fusion Academy as the Director of the Homework Cafe.


Tricia grew up in Sugar Land, graduated from Clements High School, and went to Texas Tech University on a tennis scholarship.  She earned her B.A. in Political Science and English at Texas Tech University, and then moved back to Sugar Land.  She loves learning, so she went back to school part-time in the evenings and earned her M.S. in Instructional Technology from U of H Clear Lake, and her M.Ed. in School Counseling from U of H Victoria.


Tricia loves running, health and fitness, and spending time with her two daughters! She loves being outdoors. She is always training for something. She has run four marathons, many half marathons, trail runs, and she ran her first 50-mile ultra-marathon in April 2018.  She is also training to do some triathlons this summer.
