Experience

Her innate love for learning and curiosity was the impetus behind Vailet’s decision to pursue a profession in K12 education. Her Fusion career began in 2011 teaching at the Huntington Beach, CA campus. Vailet transferred to the West Los Angeles campus as the Special Education Lead in 2013. With the pursuit of transitioning from teaching students to teaching teachers, Vailet opened the Austin, TX campus in 2015 as the Assistant Director. However, the Sunny SoCal weather called her back home in 2018, where she served as the Campus Director and Interim Head of School. Given her unique experiences and opportunities at Fusion, Vailet currently serves as the Senior Director of Outreach in Pasadena, CA, where she is able to build communities for students to help them thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Before working at Fusion Academy, Vailet taught at Green Dot Charter schools in the Los Angeles area.
