Toyka was raised in San Pedro, California. She moved to San Diego for a few years and earned a B.A. degree in English from National University. When Toyka moved back to Los Angeles County, she decided to attend Grand Canyon University where she completed the Credential Program and earned a M.Ed. in Special Education.
After working in various roles at different public schools in Southern California for the past 13 years, Toyka joins Fusion Academy as the Special Education Lead and a Teacher/Mentor.
When Toyka is not working, she enjoys spending time directing/choreographing at her nonprofit faith-based dance company. Her dancers perform at different community events and attend competitions. Her team recently added their sixteenth trophy to their collection.
Toyka enjoys teaching Sunday School at her church, spending time with family, writing for her dance blog, watching Korean Dramas, and listening to music.
