Thomas Christensen graduated from McGill University in Montreal, Canada with a Bachelor of Arts and has been passionate about languages his entire life. Starting with French and English while attending a French school in New York City, he then took on Spanish for 10 years with trips to various countries in Latin America and a college semester abroad at the University of Granada in Spain. After graduating, he spent a year in Shanghai, China mentoring Chinese middle school students to prepare them for boarding school in Canada, and studied Mandarin in his free time. He is currently working on attaining his HSK level 4.
As a world traveler and International Development major, Thomas has gained a profound understanding of world history and geography. He is fond of geopolitical discussions and enlightening students on cultural understanding. Thomas has also had the chance to practice musical instruments all his life and study music theory and recording at the Schulich School of Music. His main outdoor passion is hiking, he has completed 300 miles of the Appalachian trail and has visited over 20 national parks in the country.
