Thien Chau

Teacher/Mentor

Hi there! My name is Thien Chau and I was born and raised in Downtown, Los Angeles. When I was younger I loved playing video games whenever I could. I would always look to finish my homework so that I could play video games with my classmates. My interests and craving in video games paved the road for my future.

In 2014, I started the path to my Computer Science degree at the University of California, Riverside. I chose to major in Computer Science because of how computers have been integrated into everyday life. I wanted to understand the mechanics behind the hardware of computers and the concepts behind the internet. I also wanted to learn how to create wonderful and mesmerizing video games that I indulged in when I was younger. In 2018, I was awarded with my Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science and left UCR with experience in coding different programs and mentoring students.

In the present day, I am looking to educate others about the wonders of Computer Science, take part in the creation of something amazing, and to always keep learning. During my journey, I encountered Fusion Academy and their interests’ and values’ intrigued me. I wanted to be a part of their unique approach to student education and I am here now, excited for what the future may hold.
