Stephanie Chacon

Teacher/Mentor

Stephanie has always loved a variety of subjects, but she is most passionate about Chemistry. She has graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Chemistry from Mount Saint Mary’s University in Los Angeles, CA. Born and raised in LA, she loves to give back to the community. She volunteers at the Natural History Museum as an Interpretive Volunteer. She has done work with the AmeriCorps VISTA program to assist the STEM Director at YouthBuild Charter School to plan their yearly CODEChella Event, a weekly hackathon where youth work with local tech companies and build webpages for small, local businesses in their neighborhoods.

When she is not constantly thinking about science at every waking moment, she researches new baking recipes to try at home, listens to comedy podcasts, drinks a lot of coffee, and conquers her fears day by day!
