Morgan joins the Fusion Park Avenue team as the Director of Homework Café! In this position she supports and encourages students while they complete their school work, as well as engage interpersonally with peers. As a Registered Drama Therapist and Licensed Creative Arts Therapist, Morgan utilizes creativity, positivity, and play to engage with students and guide them through difficult challenges—whether those challenges be educational, social, or emotional.
As a Virginia native, Morgan obtained her BA from the University of Virginia double majoring in Drama and English. After moving to New York to pursue a career in theater, Morgan happily found her way to the world of creative arts therapy. She graduated from New York University with her MA in Drama Therapy. In her career Morgan has worked with a wide diversity of populations including children, adolescents, adults with severe mental illness, newly arrived refugees, clients on the Autism spectrum, and trauma survivors. In her work Morgan strives to be an open-minded, patient, strength-based support ready to meet each individual exactly where they are.
Outside of work Morgan enjoys taking her beagle-mutt on long walks in the park with her fiancé, eating copious amounts of all the awesome food New York has to offer, seeing theater, and reading books on the beach. She eagerly looks forward to meeting students and parents alike!
