Sahar is our Math and science teacher and mentor at Fusion Academy.
Sahar has completed her under-graduation in Science (Math, physics, Chemistry and Statistics) with her majors in Chemistry with Outstanding GPA 4.0/4.0, ‘First class with distinction’ honor.
Sahar completed her master’s degree in Bioinformatics. Right after her masters she worked for 2 years on her Ph.D. proposal of ‘Dynamic simulation and interactions of protein-DNA/RNA interaction. Meanwhile she accomplished two IT certifications CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) and RHCE (Redhat Linux Engineering). She quit her PhD and started working as an Associated IT consultant for Fujitsu Consulting India for a short period of time.
In 2012 Sahar started working as a neuroscience and data imaging research assistant at Gazzaley lab, one of pioneering neuroscience lab at University of California San Francisco. Her work included the functional and structural connectivity of the brain while performing a memory task. Her work of “Retrieval of high-fidelity memory arises from distributed cortical networks” published in Neuroimage journal.
Sahar enjoys spending her time off working on designing (décor, events), cooking and baking, reading books, taking care of her husband’s reef tank. She loves spending time with her son and dating her husband and traveling with them. She enjoys Fashion and studying the Parisian styles.
She jumped from 18,000 ft. on her birthday in 2011. The skydiving was a surprise birthday gift from her husband!
