After growing up in the wooded hills of Connecticut, Chris Gisonny moved to New York in 2004. Awed by the city’s dynamic culture, he hasn’t left ever since. He studied film at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, where he earned his B.F.A. in 2008. He juggled a number of jobs upon graduation, working in independent film distribution, as a research assistant for a prominent English scholar and cultural critic, and as a freelance writer. In 2013 he earned his M.F.A. in creative writing at The New School, where he studied under a number of talented novelists.
Chris went on to join the Fusion team to teach English, History, and Film. He is thrilled to be working with so many talented students in the open-minded and creative environment Fusion fosters. In his spare time, Chris can be found reading, writing, watching movies, and taking advantage of all New York City has to offer.
