Christina Bunkers

Math/Science Department Head

Christina is at Fusion Academy to continue her passion for helping students enjoy the wonderful word of mathematics! Christina loves science too, having graduated from Claremont McKenna College with a degree in Biology. Shorty after graduating, she found herself tutoring and substituting at her own alma mater, St. Lucy’s Priory High School. There she found her love and talent for teaching and has never looked back. After teaching Chemistry and math at St. Lucy’s for three years, she continued her teaching career at Saint Joseph High School in Lakewood. She spent nine years at Saint Joseph, teaching everything from Pre-Algebra to Pre-Calculus and also coaching the tennis team. Christina’s favorite part about teaching is getting to know her students and she is excited to be a part of the amazing Fusion Family.

When she is not teaching, Christina’s favorite places to travel are Boston (Go Red Sox!) and Mammoth Lakes, where she enjoys skiing in the winter and hiking and fishing in the summer. She also loves to tackle the Sunday crossword puzzle, play tennis, and practice her newest hobby, archery.

Fun fact about Christina: She takes the balancing a spoon on the nose trick to another level. She has a record of balancing eight utensils on her face!
