Shmuel, who also goes by ‘Sam’ and ‘Sammy,’ teaches American Sign Language (ASL) at our Miracle Mile campus. He earned his Bachelors degree in Psychology and Spanish from Gallaudet University in Washington D.C., and his DHH Teaching Credential from California State University Northridge. He has experience teaching at Arroyo Pacific Academy, the Chonburi School for the Deaf in Bangkok, Thailand, and Filadefia Institute in Bogota, Colombia.
Shmuel was born deaf, and is fluent not just in ASL, but also in Colombian Sign Language, Hebrew Sign Language, and Spanish Sign Language. He is also fluent in the spoken languages of English, Hebrew, and Spanish.
