As the Director of Admissions and Outreach for Fusion Academy Los Gatos, Shelly helps prospective students determine if Fusion Academy is the best environment to help them find their greatest success. She also helps both families and the larger local community understand Fusion’s approach to education and how that will positively impact the learning experience of their children or any youth looking for a different approach to help them excel in school and beyond.
Shelly earned a bachelor’s degree in international studies and a minor in management from the University of California, Irvine. While there she was involved in many organizations including Best Buddies, Student Parent Orientation Program and taught High School math really solidifying her love for helping others succeed. Since then she has had a successful career in online advertising sales in San Francisco where she learned the art of understanding the wants and needs of a very diverse array of customers and delivering against all their expectations. She could not be more excited, however, to bring her experience in management and communication and her general enthusiasm for all things good in life to an industry she is truly passionate about– education.
Shelly has lived in California her whole life, spending most of her time in the Bay Area. In her free time she loves to travel (especially to visit her family in India) and to explore the great state of California with friends, whether that be backpacking along the Yuba River or sleeping in an abandoned mining camp near Bishop. She also loves spending time watching documentaries or movies, especially when her cat, Pliny, is on her lap.
