As the youngest daughter of immigrant parents, she had to balance her heritage and her home as an American. Her family, like many immigrant families, wanted her to hold a prestigious label in society and she wanted to find her own voice. She had a passion for people and she knew she wanted to be a positive influence in the lives of those around her. Throughout college, she spent most of her time as a member of student government and student advocacy groups. She spent a summer in Washington D.C. interning at a non-profit organization that was working towards effective methods to help end homelessness. That experience helped her find her calling as an educator. She spent 9 years working towards her goal while managing a surf, skate, and snowboarding shop in Woodland Hills. She knows what it means to work hard and pursue a goal, regardless of all its obstacles and challenges. Being an educator is her strength, her passion, and her voice.
Hobbies: I love to do Yoga regularly it helps me reach a level of inner peace. I believe it’s important to meditate at least once a day to help the flow of thoughts. I love being in the outdoors, baking, snowboarding, and biking around town.
