Sara Walsh currently serves as an English instructor and yoga teacher at Fusion Academy. She earned her M.A. in English literature from S.U.N.Y. New Paltz and her B.A. in English literature from The University of Notre Dame. Sara began her career in 2003 at The Dwight School in New York, New York, where she worked as an International Baccalaureate teacher. More recently, she worked at Education First Academy where she taught IB English to juniors and seniors from more than 49 different nations. In 2014 she coauthored an article regarding technology in the classroom for The Journal of Adolescent and Adult Literacy.
In her free time, Sara looks to find moments of awe, calm, or connection; for example, she enjoys walking around The Garfield Conservatory (especially the fern room) either alone or with her husband and son. While today she reserves lunges for the yoga mat, in 1996 she was the first alternate to the United States Olympic Team in fencing.
