Education

Sara is a graduate of Hampshire College where she earned a B.A. in graphic narrative.

Experience

Sara's variegated educational background includes a community-engaged learning semester working with children to dramatize children’s literature at Hampshire’s Early Learning Center, a talk on Shaun Tan’s The Rabbits at the Eric Carle Museum’s annual educator’s night, and a multi-medium graphic memoir as her senior thesis project which was projected on the Hampshire magic board. As a humanities teacher, she loves sharing her passion for story craft, creativity, and self-expression with her students.

Fun Facts and Hobbies

  • Involved in multiple national comic arts festivals, from tabling at Small Press Expo, to doing press coverage at New York Comic Con, to conducting interviews with preeminent cartoonists.
  • Worked extensively with international literary/musical project Waywords and Meansigns, setting James Joyce’s famously esoteric novel Finnegans Wake to music with contributors from all over the world.
