Nick was born and raised in San Diego, CA. At a young age he began taking piano and drum lessons, soon joining the San Diego youth honor bands and ensembles. In high school, he attended the Coronado School of the Arts and began playing around the city a the top jazz venues. After high school, Nick attended UCLA as an Ethnomusicology major with an emphasis in Jazz Studies. During his time there, he continued performing with various groups and has performed in venues such as the Troubadour, Teragram Ballroom, and Hotel Café. He has also worked as an assistant recording engineer at the Melnitz Recording Studio and had interned at Stones Throw Records. He was also awarded Grand Prize winner of the 2016 John Lennon Songwriting Contest. His music has been featured on music blogs such as Consequence of Sound, Indie Shuffle, Earmilk, and has performance credits on the upcoming UK film Bliss (2016).
Fun Fact: He has a cameo in the movie Devil’s Carnival starring David Hasselhoff, where he plays drums in Satan’s band.
