Natacha is a native from Port-au-Prince, Haiti. She earned a bachelor’s degree in French language and literature from Northern Illinois University. Natacha also has a Master of Arts in Education: Teacher Leadership from University of Phoenix in Denver, Colorado. She relocated to Illinois to be closer to her elderly mother from Denver, CO where she was teaching IB (International Baccalaureate) French at a traditional High school in Westminster, CO .
Natacha has worked as a French teacher for the past eight years. She is currently teaching French at College of DuPage in Glen Ellyn. She is extremely thrilled to join the Fusion Academy faculty. She is a member of the Alliance Française of DuPage County. She has tutored students and adults privately for the past 4 years. Natacha teaches French, Wellness, English, and Health at Fusion Academy Oak Brook.
Natacha’s ultimate goal is to help students see how they can use French and all literature to better understand themselves, others, and the world around them. In her spare time, she enjoys spending quality time with her mother.
Natacha volunteers as a Big Sister through the Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Kane and Kendall County. She enjoys the impact mentoring has in the life of young girls. She has mentored a young girl in Elementary school for a year now and enjoys how enriching being a mentor has been.
Natacha is adventurous, she LOVES to travel and be immersed in various cultures. She loves photography, scrapbooking, crafting greeting cards and speaking French. She is also a licensed Sisterlocks Consultant in her spare time. Finally, Natacha loves to do 5K’s to challenge herself and is training to do a half marathon the summer of 2016.
