Nara Cervantes teaches Spanish and offers student guidance at Fusion Academy. She earned a Bachelor degree in Spanish Literature/Translation with a minor in Latin America and Latino Studies at Montclair State University, NJ, in 2012. At MSU Nara volunteered as a tutor for the Spanish and Italian department for two years and taught 2nd and 3rd grade students as part of her education classes’ requirement. Since then, she has offered private tutoring to student of all ages. She loves working with different kind of students and is passionate about teaching because she believes that “by teaching we learn and by learning we teach”. Her classes are more than just teaching the Spanish language and culture, they are about teaching students to be confident and succeed.
In her free time, Nara enjoys doing art and craft, reading and writing, listening to music and dancing, working out, spending time with friends and her mother, watching TV series, learning new thing and most important and enjoyable of all, she loves spending time with her 3 years old son, Cesc, and her husband.
Interesting fact about Nara: She practiced synchronized swimming in her homeland, Cuba, from 1st to 9th grade.
