Nancy Knor joined Fusion as a founding teaching in September 2017 and is privileged to work at Fusion Loudoun as the Special Education Lead and an English Teacher/Mentor. She spent most of her childhood in Alexandria, Virginia (although she went on many side adventures to Narnia and Neverland), and later attended Vanderbilt University where she double majored in Elementary Education and Special Education. Her first classroom was a thatched roof hut in the jungles of Belize where she lived for two years with the Peace Corps. She has also had the privilege of teaching in public, private, and Montessori schools here in the United States. In 2008, she received her license as an Educational Therapist for the National Institute for Learning Development and has used this knowledge to home school her own children, as well as come alongside many other students with learning differences through private tutoring and Home Hospital Teaching for Frederick County Public Schools.
Nancy thinks teaching is the best job in the world! She now lives in Frederick, Maryland, and loves going on adventures with her best friend /husband, Cary, and their two children, Josiah (age 18), and Grace (age 16). She also loves reading, writing, ice cream, dogs, and exploring wild caves!
