Experience

Nancy's first classroom was a thatched-roof hut in the jungles of Belize where she lived for two years with the Peace Corps. She has also had the privilege of teaching in public, private, and Montessori schools here in the United States. In 2008, she received her license as an Educational Therapist for the National Institute for Learning Development and has used this knowledge to home school her own children, as well as come alongside many other students with learning differences through private tutoring and Home Hospital Teaching for Frederick County Public Schools. She recently published her first book, Woven: A Peace Corps Adventure Filled with Faith, Laughter, and Love.

Fun Facts and Hobbies

  • Loves going on adventures with her best friend /husband, Cary, and their two children, Josiah and Grace
  • Enjoys reading, writing, and eating warm chocolate chip cookies
  • Adores her bloodhound (Macy) and Labrador retriever (Noah)
