Myron Ávila is a Spanish and Latin American studies teacher. He earned a B.A. in Liberal Arts and completed his K-12 Single Subject (Spanish) teaching program at California State University, San Bernardino. He also holds master’s and Ph.D. degrees in Spanish from the University of California, Irvine. Experienced in language and bilingual instruction with most ages, most recently Myron was an Associate Professor of Spanish at a university in Georgia. He is a published author in Spanish, English, and Portuguese. In his spare time – when not writing – he enjoys hiking, camping, and especially traveling abroad. He has been, thus far, to 38 countries on three different continents.
