Missy was born and raised in the Bay Area, and remained here straight through until after graduating from St. Mary’s College in the East Bay. She then ventured to the Southern end of the state to attend Azusa Pacific University, where she earned a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy. Missy has worked as a high school counselor, a community clinic therapist, and a classroom clinician at a therapeutic school. She went on to private practice, but missed working directly with students and the school atmosphere, and is now excited to serve as therapist for Fusion’s Palo Alto campus!
Missy approaches therapy with warmth and compassion, and works with students to create a trusting and collaborative dynamic. A sense of humor is also an important component to therapy. She specializes in helping those struggling with anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, and stress.
In her spare time, Missy enjoys beach days with her husband and yellow lab, experimenting in the kitchen, and getting crafty with hot glue.
