Education

Mimi earned her Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from the University of Massachusetts at Boston, and earned her Master of Arts in Teaching from Boston University School of Education. Mimi also earned a Certificate in Campus Design from Harvard University School of Design.

Experience

Mimi taught English and history at The Beacon School, a public magnet high school in Manhattan. She was Director of Writing Programs at Monroe College, a private college in the Bronx. Mimi also wrote the curriculum for Film & Video Production for the State of Louisiana, and served as Education Coordinator for New Orleans Access Television. She has also been a freelance writer since 2003 having produced White Papers, Feasibility Studies, submissions for various RFPs and RFQs, technical manuals, screenplays, and other formal documents.

Fun Facts and Hobbies

  • Co-wrote and produced a feature film, was the producer of a segment television show, and produced rap videos
  • Traveled to 40 US states and 14 countries (many of which she has visited several times)
  • Can cook just about any type of cuisine, but Northern Italian food is her specialty
