Here, she fostered a love for the Early Modern Era with special interest in Crime & Dissent amid the Atlantic World. Furthermore, Melissa learned the importance of health from her parents and worked as a Health and Wellness Educator at RWU where she functioned as a resource for the student-body on mental, physical, and emotional health.
Excited to engage in teaching opportunities in a new location, Melissa brings forward experience with elementary, middle, and secondary level students. She continuously strives to create a positive learning environment that inspires students with meaningful intent to not only, maintain her overall goal to ground historical inquiry into real world applications that students can relate to but also, provide a foundation that propels students to become lifelong learners. Currently, Melissa is in pursuit of her Master’s Degree in History at Simmons College in Boston, Massachusetts. Born and raised in Massachusetts, she loves the Boston Bruins and has a close connection with nature and gardening.
