Melissa was born and raised in Agoura Hills, California. In 2010, she worked for Planned Parenthood located in Los Angeles as a Certified Public Health Educator for middle and high school students.
In 2013, she moved to the Big Island where she taught English at Hilo High School. She also worked at Hawaii Behavioral Health as a Skills Trainer. In 2015, she returned back home to beautiful Southern California to be near family and friends. Melissa is inspired to write constantly and loves the sense of connection that writing brings.
Hobbies: My heart beats for traveling, sailing, playing guitar, singing, golfing, practicing yoga, shooting photographs, and adventuring off onto unmarked paths.
“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover. “ -Mark Twain
