Matt Brody is very excited to be the Music/Art Teacher and Mentor at Fusion Academy of Englewood!
Matt received his B.A in Music Education with Certification from William Paterson University with a concentration in instrumental music. He also holds an Associate Degree in Music and Liberal Arts for Bergen C.C. and attended West Chester University of P.A studying Music Education.
Matt currently teaches music at Englewood Public Schools as an Assistant Band Director and Drum Instructor. He has taught music to students of all ages ranging from elementary to high school involving rock, jazz, concert band, and marching bands at Clifton, Cresskill, and Emerson public school districts. In 2012-2014 Matt was the Clifton Mustang Band Alumni Association President where he organized scholarship fundraising events for current high school students pursuing college. Additionally Matt is a private brass and percussion teacher and has performed with various amateur and professional musical ensembles throughout the tri state area.
Matt’s hobbies and interests include attending live classical, jazz, and the occasional heavy metal concerts in NJ and NYC, Big Ten college football/ marching Bands, cooking, camping, anything involving astronomy, card games, “old school” stand-up comedy, and enjoying time with my family and friends.
