Mark Reynolds graduated on the Dean’s List and summa cum laude from the Dominican University of California in 2008 with a BA in Political Science. He subsequently worked in politics for a campaign finance and lobbying firm from 2008-2015. He has also worked as a writer for the websites Bleacher Report, Fangraphs, and The Independent Voter Network, writing about baseball and politics. Additionally, he writes creative non-fiction and fiction. He spent one summer working for the independent league baseball team the Sonoma Stompers.
He’s mentored students in reading, reading comprehension research, writing, and math as a Program Assistant and P.E. Coach at Jack London Elementary School and as a tutor for Lindamood Bell and Professional Tutors of America. He’s spent five years coaching high school basketball at Casa Grande High School, Novato High School, and his alma mater St. Vincent High School.
Mark’s hobbies include reading, writing, watching the San Francisco Giants and Golden State Warriors, and hiking. His favorite authors and influences include David Foster Wallace, Philip Roth, Ken Kesey, Robert Caro, and David Halberstam.
