Margaret is a Promax/BDA award-winning graphic designer, an all around creative, and an educator living in Silver Lake, Los Angeles. She worked for ten years as a designer and marketer for the kids networks of Disney Channel, Disney XD, and Disney Junior, creating promotional items like tee shirts and advertisements, and working intensely on the recent Disney Channel rebrand. Yes, she has met all of the stars of High School Musical.

Previous to her career at Disney, Margaret was a foster family agency social worker for over three years helping foster kids get what they needed. Before moving to Southern California, she worked in Manhattan for seven years as an editor and a freelance writer for Silhouette Books, Twilight Zone Magazine, Berkeley Books, Tor Books, and national magazines. Margaret is currently getting her third advanced degree, an MFA in Writing for Children and Young Adults at Vermont College of Fine Arts. When Margaret was in fifth grade, she won second prize in the national Scholastic art contest.

If there’s something you want to do that involves creativity — if you want to design a book, paint a painting, make a collage, write a story, express yourself, Margaret can help you learn to do it. She passionately believes in the power of storytelling and art to change student’s lives and make wonderful things happen.
