Lisa received her Bachelor’s degree in Biology and Computer Science from the Rochester Institute of Technology, and her MBA from Pepperdine University. She started her career working in the design and development of web-based healthcare tools for companies including Johnson & Johnson and Pfizer. She also did consulting with many internet start-ups, and collaborated with researchers at Stanford University in commercializing on-line tools for patients with conditions such as diabetes and chronic pain.
Lisa has always enjoyed working with students and mentoring young people, especially in the areas of science, math and technology. She has volunteered with community programs such as “Live Well Kids” at the Beach Cities Health District and led efforts to bring health and nutrition programs to local schools. She also worked with schools to build school gardens and develop garden related activities and curriculum in all subjects. When not teaching at Fusion, Lisa enjoys spending time with her family, which includes her husband, 15 year old daughter, two dogs, and a horse named Vinny.
