LeAnn, was born and raised on the Navajo reservation in New Mexico. She was a Gates scholar at Columbia University where she earned a B.A. in Environmental Science. After college, LeAnn joined Teach for America and began teaching high school science in the Texas public school system. She then went to Harvard’s Graduate School of Education for her masters degree in Education Policy and Management. She has since taught in Oklahoma, Virginia Beach, New York, and most recently in Amman, Jordan as a Fulbright fellow. LeAnn enjoys being outside, learning Arabic, and cooking.
