Kristen obtained her Bachelor’s degree in History and Education at Rowan University. However, after years of working with an array of children that all had different learning abilities, she realized she could make her life passion of helping others a lasting career. Kristen pursued counseling and obtained her master’s degree from Rowan University’s Graduate Program for Counseling in an Educational Setting.
Kristen took advantage of all opportunities presented to her during her graduate program: including her work for Aim High and her work at Pemberton High School. She worked as a lead group counselor that focused on academic, personal, social, and career growth. She led mixed groups that promoted leadership development and focused on college preparation in order to facilitate personal future goals. Kristen worked extensively as an advocate and confidant to all students as well as maintained their socio-emotional well-being. She had major involvement working in identifying post-secondary options, while preparing and executing workshops that included advising students on the application process, essays, interviewing techniques, resume building, financial aid, scholarships, and career planning.
Kristen believes love and support should be at the foundation of every learning environment and is all the more excited she gets to share that passion with Princeton Fusion Academy. She values her students’ needs and believes in building a connection with each. She lives life by the ethics of positivism, kindness, and the importance of relating to others no matter what direction she has taken. Kristen is an outgoing, energetic, kindhearted person who enjoys spending time with family, friends, and her puppy in her free time. She enjoys yoga, reading, cooking, and crafting when she wants to unwind.
