When working on her biochemistry degree at San Francisco State University Kitty began doing undergraduate research into the metabolic pathway of the pseudomonas bacteria and as the senior member of the lab group she was assigned the task of teaching all the new students about their research and the different techniques used in lab. This experience sparked an interest in teaching for Kitty and has lead her to teaching at Fusion Academy.
