Kirsten de Roos is an avid historian who is trying to discontinue the phrase: “history is boring”. She graduated from Christopher Newport University with a degree in History and a concentration in Economics. Her passion for history inspired her to continue her education at George Mason University, where she graduated with her Master’s degree in Early Modern European History.
For the past six years, Kirsten has been teaching life skills to a special needs teenager. She is absolutely delighted to be able to spend so much time with a lovely young man and considers it a privilege to work one on one with him. It is this form of teaching that drew Kirsten into applying at Fusion Academy where she hopes to be able to impart her excitement and knowledge about history onto her students.
In her free time, Kirsten loves to spend her time wandering around cities all over the world, immersing herself in the culture that each place has to offer.
