Kirby Meade joined Fusion Loudoun as a founding teacher in August 2017 and returns for his second year teaching history, German, and Russian. He earned his bachelor’s degree in history and Russian from Excelsior University, and he earned his master’s degree in International Relations from Boston University. Kirby previously worked as a teacher at Flint Hill School in Oakton, and at the University of Maryland. He also serves as an Assistant Scoutmaster, mentoring over ninety scouts. Kirby enjoys guitar, woodworking, and building scale models in his spare time. He also loves the outdoors, spending at least two weekends a month camping or hiking. Kirby has the distinction of serving in both the U.S. Army and the U.S. Navy.
