Kerry grew up an Army brat and lived in Washington D.C., Alabama, Germany, and Georgia, before her dad retired in Texas. She is a proud member of the Texas Aggie Fightin’ Class of ‘98. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in English, and then continued her studies at Texas A&M Commerce where she received a master’s in reading. She has taught almost every class under the English umbrella at the secondary level, served as a Campus Reading Specialist, and, most recently, worked as a curriculum writer. She opened Fusion Academy Dallas as a Master Teacher and English teacher and now serves as the Assistant Director.
She met her husband playing poker, although the stories of their successes vary depending on who you ask. In her free time, she enjoys competitive banter with her husband, playing with her old dog, Jack, cheering on her beloved Aggies, reading every book she can, catching all the Pokemon, and, most of all, loving on her 2 daughters, Riley (2.5) and Juliet (1.5). She also loves watching cooking shows, but she leaves the cooking to her husband. It is safer that way.
