She then went on to the Manhattanville School of Education and earned a master’s degree in the art of teaching Spanish while completing credits towards a certification in teaching English as a second language. Kathleen will be teaching Spanish and English at Fusion. She loves to engage her students in the learning process while being passionate about teaching. She believes in the importance of communication and interpersonal and intrapersonal understanding.
Kathleen was also an adjunct Spanish professor at Manhattanville’s undergraduate program. Kathleen completed an internship with the International Visitors’ Program of the State Department where she was responsible for taking Spanish-speaking representatives to places of interest such as the United Nations. She was also a translator for the State Farm insurance company. Kathleen likes to think of herself as a very kind and patient person, teacher, and mentor.
During her free time, Kathleen loves to spend time with her family, write poetry, take walks with her dog, listen to music and sing.
