Kathleen Collins, M.Ed.

English/History Teacher

Kathleen earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Geography & Cartography from the University of Kentucky and her Masters in Education from the University of Montevallo in Montevallo, Alabama. She worked as a free-lance cartographer designing maps for a small educational company. For the last 10 years, she worked as a geography and civics teacher in middle school. Some highlights include being a sponsor for JUNA (Junior United Nations Assembly of Alabama) an academic team of 6-8th graders.

Kathleen was born and raised in Houston but had not lived here for many years. Her desire to be near family was what brought her back to Texas. She is very happy to be back in her home state.

She enjoys learning about new places, traveling, especially across the United States, cooking, and DIY projects – She has taught herself how to fix/repair many things.
