Kari Laminack is a Math Teacher/ Mentor at Fusion Academy Southlake. She has a BS in Mathematics-Secondary Education from Louisiana Tech University. Kari grew up in southwest Arkansas and moved to Texas right after graduating from college. Kari comes to us with over 20 years of experience teaching high school math in the great state of Texas. Aside from her career as a math teacher, Kari is also a Registered Dental Assistant and has spent the past year working for an Oral Surgeon.
While she isn’t working, Kari loves to spend time with her family. She has been married to her best friend, Stacy, for 20 years and is the proud mother of Mattison and Levi. Aside from her human children, Kari is mother to Jade; a Doberman, Coal and Kylo; 2 black cats that are as different as night and day! Kari and family loves to spend time outdoors riding ATVs and side by sides. Some of their favorite places to ride are the mud pits in East Texas and the mountains of Arkansas. Kari’s hobbies include crafting (monogramming is her current love), spending time with friends and family, spending time outside, shopping, attending and serving at her church, Legacy Baptist, watching movies, and she is always on the search for a new binge-worthy series to watch on Netflix.
Kari has a passion for math and is looking forward to sharing that passion with the kids at Fusion. One of her taglines is, “It is not about being a calculator, It’s about being a mathematical thinker.”
