John Ressos is the new P.E. teacher at Woodbury Fusion. His job is to introduce as many different activities to my students as he can and instill the importance of life long fitness. The 2 hours a week they get from class isn’t enough exercise to keep a person healthy so it is his job to help them love being active here and at home.
John currently holds 4 degrees, Fine Art/Commercial Art, Computer Hardware and Software, Physical education, and a Masters in Health Education.
John has taught P.E. and Health for 7 years in the public school system, until moving on to live in Greece for two years where he ran a winery, he also served in the special forces branch of the Greek military, when he returned to the states John became a stuntman, doing stunts for film and TV.
He loves to play sports (hockey especially) and stay as active as possible. He loves his current job (and am sure will love teaching here). Making time to travel, and spend time with family and friends are very important to him.
John was 4 feet 11 inches until 11th grade, so he is no stranger to feeling small, being bullied, or feeling like he couldn’t participate with all the other kids. “Although high school is an important stepping-stone in life, life is much bigger than high school”
