Jessica Kirkland, originally from Macon, Georgia, holds a Bachelor’s degree in Justice Studies from Georgia Southern University, a Master’s degree in Education from Shenandoah University, and a minor in English. Jessica has worked in secondary-grades education (grades 9-12) in public schools and is thrilled to be transitioning to the individualized model of education that Fusion provides students. Jessica has lived in Loudoun County for 7 years and during that time has volunteered extensively in the community with a focus on education by raising scholarship funds for families and providing assistance for Loudoun families experiencing food insecurity. Jessica is a lifelong student who is passionate about teaching and learning alongside her students and fostering curiosity and a love of learning for all students through a diverse body of literature and writing and dynamic curriculum.
Jessica lives with her husband and two children in Leesburg and enjoys traveling, writing, visiting museums and historical sites, weightlifting and college football.
