Jesse Campton

Teacher/Mentor

Jesse is thrilled to be teaching in the Humanities department at Fusion Academy Los Gatos! Leaving his hometown in the East Bay, Jesse moved up north to attend Pacific University in Oregon, the home of the Boxers! In addition to earning his BA in Anthropology/Sociology, Jesse was an Resident Assistant and Teaching Assistant, studied abroad in England, and ran his very own radio show! It was also during this time that Jesse decided that he wanted to work in education. Jesse recently returned from a year in Chicago where he served as an AmeriCorps member at a local high school. During his time there, Jesse mentored students in ACT preparation and helped them compile the necessary pieces for a competitive college application. He also purchased them lots of snacks, many of which he ate himself. Snacks are his greatest weakness. Back in the Golden State, Jesse is excited to continue working in education with the amazing students at Fusion Academy! When he is not at work, Jesse loves hiking, camping, watching old movies, reading at cafes, and repeatedly listening to “Hamilton” while singing along loudly, much to the dismay of those around him.
